At AvioTest, we care about your personal information. Therefore, we have prepared this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, and share your personal information.
This Privacy Policy applies to AvioTest websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to AvioTest collecting, using, and sharing your personal information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
AvioTest will be operated by Kerem Hassoy and Has Technology Inc.
Please note that AvioTest continuously tests and develops product features. Features discussed in this Privacy Policy may not be available to all users or in all jurisdictions.
2) Information We Collect
When you use the Service, AvioTest may collect the following personal information:
a) Account Registration
You may provide us with your name, age, and email address to create an AvioTest account.
You may also create an account using social login methods such as Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. If you sign up via a social login method, AvioTest may receive certain information about you from your social login provider, including your email address and name.
You can manage your AvioTest account and social login information from the Settings section.
b) Profile Page
After signing up for your AvioTest account, a profile page (“Profile”) is created for you. Your Profile will include your name and email address. Your Profile is NOT public and is never visible to other users.
Your Profile may also include information about your test performance, such as:
- Test scores and results
- App session statistics
- Progress tracking data
- Success milestones
Your Profile information, including test scores and performance data, is kept confidential and is not shared with other users.
c) Test Performance Data
When you use the Service to take practice tests or training exercises, AvioTest collects and stores comprehensive data about your performance, including (but not limited to):
- Test scores and accuracy rates
- Response times and answer patterns
- Question-based performance data
- Strengths and weaknesses
- Session duration and frequency
- Learning progress over time
- User inputs, selections, and interactions during tests
Purpose of collection: We collect this data for the following purposes:
- To track your personal progress and provide you with performance analytics
- To improve existing aptitude tests and training materials
- To create new psychometric tests and assessment tools
- To conduct research to increase the effectiveness of our preparation materials
- To personalize your learning experience
Data usage: This data is anonymized and aggregated for research and product development purposes. AvioTest may use this data to develop new airline pilot aptitude tests and improve the quality/accuracy of our training materials. While anonymization takes place, your individual performance data is stored in your account for your personal tracking and review.
d) Activity Data and Analytics
When you use the Service, we collect data regarding your usage through Unity Analytics, a third-party analytics service provided by Unity Technologies.
This data may include:
Technical information
- Device type, model, and operating system
- Browser type and version
- Screen resolution and viewport size
- IP address (stored for a maximum of 30 days)
- Device identifier
- Script errors and crash reports
Usage patterns
- App navigation and visited pages
- Clicks, taps, and user interactions
- Session duration and usage frequency
- Feature usage patterns
- In-app behavior and preferences
- Time spent in different sections of the app
Note: Unity Analytics DOES NOT SAVE your username, name, email address, profile pictures, or passwords. Unity Analytics only collects technical and behavioral data to help us improve the AvioTest experience.

You can opt-out of Unity Analytics data collection at any time using the button on the app’s Settings page.
e) Cookies
When you access the AvioTest website, we may store certain data from your browser using cookies. A cookie is a piece of data stored on your computer tied to information about you.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. However, disabling cookies may limit certain features of the Service.
f) Payment Information
If you purchase a subscription or premium features through the Service, your payment information is processed by third-party payment processors (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
AvioTest does not collect, store, or access your credit card information or other payment details. All payment transactions are securely performed by Apple or Google in accordance with their own privacy policies.
3) How We Process Your Information
AvioTest may process your personal information based on the following legal bases:

AvioTest may specifically process and share your personal information in the following ways:
a) Providing and Improving the Service

This data is anonymized and aggregated for research purposes. AvioTest does not use personally identifiable information in research and new test development processes. However, AvioTest retains ownership of all data, including anonymized performance data, and may use this data for lawful commercial purposes, including the commercialization of new assessment products.
c) Communicating with You
We may use your email address to send messages such as:
- Messages necessary for the operation of the Service (e.g., password reset, account notifications)
- Updates regarding the Service or features
- Announcements of new products/features/offers
- Tips and guidance to improve your test preparation
- Customer support responses
You can opt-out of non-essential messages from the Settings section.
d) Compliance with Laws and Preventing Harmful Activities
We may process and share personal information when necessary to comply with legal requests such as subpoenas or court orders. We may also share information to:
- Comply with applicable laws
- Protect our interests or property

5) Your Data Subject Rights
In addition to other rights required by applicable laws, you have the right to:

- Opt-out of sharing your personal information with third parties (You can turn off Unity Analytics from Settings)

- Delete your account via the instructions in Service Settings
How to Exercise Your Rights
You can perform certain controls from the Settings page. For data access, deletion, portability, or other requests, send an email to [email protected] including the following information:

- Email address associated with your AvioTest account
- Description of your request
- Proof of identity
Identity verification: We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
Response time: Responses are provided within applicable legal timeframes (usually 30 days for GDPR/KVKK, 45 days for CCPA).
Notes:
- Coordination with Unity may be required for Unity Analytics data (may incur additional time).
- Additional documentation may be requested if identity cannot be verified.
- Some requests may take longer due to technical limitations or coordination with third parties.
Also, please note that rights are not absolute; for example, requests may be rejected in cases such as inability to verify identity, violation of third-party rights, interference with the operation of the service, or legal retention obligations.
6) For Users in Turkey (KVKK Compliance)
If you reside in Turkey, you have the following rights under KVKK:
- To learn whether your personal data is processed
- To request information if it has been processed
- To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with the purpose

9) Data Retention
AvioTest generally retains your personal information until your account is deleted. However, some data may be retained for longer periods for the following purposes:
- To provide the Service

- To conduct abuse/outage investigations
- To fulfill agreements

For research and product development purposes, anonymous/de-identified/aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.
10) Data Security
AvioTest takes reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

11) Children's Privacy
AvioTest is designed for individuals preparing for airline pilot aptitude tests and requires users to be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or persons under the applicable age of digital consent).

12) International Data Transfers
AvioTest may store and process data using Unity Technologies’ infrastructure; this may involve transferring your data outside your country of residence, including to the United States. Different data protection laws may exist in these countries.
By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where Unity Technologies operates.
For European users: AvioTest may rely on Unity Technologies’ compliance with the following data protection frameworks:

- UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework
- Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework

The Service may contain links to third-party websites/services that AvioTest does not own or control. We do not endorse and are not responsible for these third-party sites or services. Use of third-party content/services is at your own risk.

14) Do Not Track Signals
The Service is not designed to respond to “Do Not Track” signals sent by some browsers.
15) Your Choices and Controls
Opt-out of analytics: You can disable Unity Analytics data collection from your Settings page. This prevents the collection of usage/analytics data without affecting basic functionality.
Email communications: You can edit your preferences from Settings or use the “unsubscribe” link in emails.
Account deletion: You can delete your account from the Settings page. When the account is deleted:
- Your personal information (name, email) is deleted
- Your test performance data is deleted
- Anonymized/aggregated data derived from your usage may be retained for research purposes
- Some information may be retained due to legal obligations
16) Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our information practices. If changes are significant, we will post a notice on the website at least 7 days before they become effective and indicate the latest revision date at the bottom of the Privacy Policy.
Revisions become effective at the end of the 7-day period. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised policy means you accept the changes.
17) Legal Bases for Processing (For European Users)
For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, AvioTest processes personal information based on the following grounds:
- Contract performance: To provide the requested service (account management, test delivery, etc.)
